The Plant-a-TREE Project is an initiative by Greener Future Youth aimed at combating climate change, restoring ecosystems, and fostering community engagement through tree planting. Our mission is to plant and nurture millions of trees across the world, ensuring a greener, healthier planet for future generations. By participating in this project, you’re contributing directly to reducing carbon footprints, enhancing biodiversity, and supporting sustainable development.
We are always looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to help us carry out our mission. Whether you have a few hours to spare or want to make a long-term commitment, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference. Join as a volunteer by signing up below.
Trees are the lungs of our planet. They absorb carbon dioxide, release oxygen, and provide habitats for countless species. Trees also play a crucial role in preventing soil erosion, regulating water cycles, and mitigating the effects of climate change. By planting a tree, you’re not just adding greenery; you’re investing in a sustainable future.
Start by signing up on our website. You’ll need to provide some basic information, such as your name, email address, and location. After the sign-up you can register for a specific project at your preferred location, stay updated on project developments, and track your impact. Once registered, you’ll receive a welcome email with nearby tree-planting events to participate in.
You can plant a tree virtually by donating to the cause, or you can participate in our local tree-planting events. Every donation goes directly to purchasing and planting trees.
After planting, you’ll receive a certificate with details about your achievement e.g. Plant-A-Tree, including skills obtained, location, and expected environmental impact. You can also track the growth of your tree through our online platform.
By 2030, we aim to plant 10 million trees in regions most affected by deforestation.
We are committed to restoring 1 million acres of degraded land by planting native tree species.
